Common questions

Why won't a video transcribe?

Make sure the URL is from TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram, and the video is publicly accessible. Private, deleted, or region-locked videos can't be downloaded.

Where are my transcripts stored?

On your device only. ReSerch doesn't sync to the cloud or upload your audio anywhere.

How do I export to Obsidian?

Tap Copy Markdown, then paste into a new note. Or tap the share button and choose your Obsidian instance.

What's the difference between Markdown and Rich Text export?

Markdown is plain text with formatting markers — perfect for Obsidian, Logseq, or any markdown editor. Rich Text preserves visual formatting and works better in Notion, Apple Notes, Mail, or Pages.

How do I cancel my subscription?

iOS Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → ReSerch → Cancel.

How do I restore a purchase on a new device?

Open ReSerch → Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the Apple ID that bought the original purchase.
